June 25, 2006 - FINALLY DONE!

The guys put down the sod yesterday -
4,700 square feet!
We made a planter box next to the fence with rail road ties, and last
weekend planted several Star Jasmine, Lillies of the Nile and Lantana.
Peter will be adding some other plants for more color.

A perfect yard for croquet!

Dexter & Abner enjoy the new pool.

Scooter loves the grass, and often races
around as we are swimming in the pool.

Breaking in the Pool!

teach Scooter the Poodle how to swim.
Dexter & Coral swim back to the beach entry with their balls.
ALMOST THERE!!!!

The plastering was completed on Thursday,
and the pool entirely filled by Friday morning. We were pleasantly
surprised that our well cooperated and we didn't need to have
water brought in.

Next comes plants, trees and sod,
then the guys will start on the patio cover.
Pool Construction - Almost Done?????
April 23, 2006

A temporary set-back - the inspector said
we needed to increase the fence height and change the outer wire before
we can plaster! Peter and the guys have been busy replacing the
chain link that previously enclosed the pool area with white vinyl rail.
Peter's also making gates as well. Replacement wiring is on order,
then we'll finally be ready to have a second inspection and plaster!

Another view.

A crew arrived at 11 a.m. and
worked until 5 p.m on this next phase of the pool.
It was a wintry, windy day, temps about 45F outside (cold for us So.
Californians!).
They finished just two hours before it began to rain.

Beach front entry for our
geriatric dogs to enter the pool.

It's deep!

Making progress!

We came home from work to find
they'd starting digging - and what a HUGE hole!

The pool is right off of the
family room, and will be accessible through the French doors.
