April 5, 2008 - I rented a tractor and told Ed that
he had modified plans for Saturday! I'm not one known to give
him a "Honey Do" list, so he complied and began the work on my
agility yard! It's a nice fenced area, but was uneven and had
lots of holes in it where dogs had previous dug for squirrels and
gophers.

While Ed tractored, I had fun assembling my new
equipment, including the tire jump shown above. It didn't take
much braunschweiger (Chloe's favorite training treat) to realize the
tire isn't the scary thing she'd thought it was in class!

Daisy enjoyed racing around the yard after we got the
obstacles in place. (Not shown is my new pause table, which
Saint Peter, my father-in-law, built for me that day!)

Last weekend Ed built my teeter-totter, another
obstacle which Chloe had despised. As you can see, it's not
such a big deal any more. She even did it amidst the
distraction of the other dogs.
Sadly, this is the last photo I have of my sweet silver Standard,
Seamus, shown behind the teeter. He began with internal
bleeding the day after this picture was taken, and the vet thought
he had hemangiosarcoma, the same awful disease that claimed my
Golden, Dexter, last June.
