Layla
October 12, 1993 - February 14, 2006

Taken shortly after her arrival at Golden Acres on June 18, 2005,
Layla's owner brought her to us to find her a new home.
She had been living in a backyard where kids had thrown dirt & sand at her.
Layla was matted, full of fleas and could barely walk.
At thirteen years of age, we couldn't stand to see her life end like this.
We knew she was sent to us to spend her remaining days as part of our family.

Layla loves her tennis balls!  Taken a couple of days after her arrival, she started to look a bit happier.
She initially hated to go outside, and I'm sure was worried she wouldn't be allowed back in.
We've got her started on Deramaxx and Cosequin DS and she looks much more comfortable and is starting to follow me around the house.

A week and a day after joining us, Layla still needed a bit more grooming so she had another bath and blow dry.
Here she is after her bath, barking for a treat.

Can I have the cookie NOW, please?!?!

All clean, brushed, and looking pretty.
In this picture Layla looks exactly like our old boy, Fetchy Poo.

Such a pretty girl.
