My mom was diagnosed with
pancreatic cancer on August 17th. She came home with Hospice
services, and was cared for not only by my family and the visiting
nurses, but also by my two Toy Poodles, Scooter & Chelsea.
Mom passed away Tuesday, September 12th. I owe
to my mother my love of animals. She adored Scooter & Chelsea,
and called them her "grand puppies."

Mom & Scooter - August 2006.

Chelsea & Scooter often could be found lounging in
bed with Mom.
My goofy & wonderful Golden, Abner, is smiling in the background,
happy to be included in all the goings-on. No, he's not much
of a therapy dog at all, but we love him just the same!

Scooter was especially in tune to those who needed
comfort during this difficult time. His little face would
often reflect the emotions of those whom he was trying to console.

Chelsea is a big snuggler, and Mom enjoyed her
company.
